On this page I can write off unpleasant experiences with customers on Ebay, like a kind of diary.

As always, I 'm open for discussion. When Needed/Possible I will update this page once in a while

A ( my first) bad review on Ebay

I'm asking everybody on Ebay to leave feedback, Sadly too few people write anything when they get their ordered game. This customer I did not have to ask to write something. He was more than willing to give me a bad review ( see picture below)

Spoiler alert: Below is this page is a video with the game in action after screwing in a tri-wing screw

What happened?

First: the listing it all started with

Important detail of the listing:  C Quality with a Crack

Original Photo from listing ( very detailed with the C Quality as an extra indication of not being perfect

As you might notice the crack is barely vissible if you can even find it all. It's hard to catch on photos that's why I rely heavily on my rating system ( A for Very Good , B Good, C for Ok) . A 100% working and pretty good looking copy of Pokémon LeafGreen!

It was sold and I would think the buyer had a very good deal ( on shipping and item). The item arrived within 3 days

Then: The Claim

Long story short: The buyer only wanted his money back and keep the game. That's not right, not going to happen.

Customer claimed the game was falling apart and sent me the 4 photo's to back that story up. ( Nothing special to be seen there, just an opened GBA Game)

After some communication back and forth the buyer knew he had to return to get money back ( normal policy of course) but it was very clear customer was not pleased he would not get a free game from me.

I accepted the return and found two local carriers ( DPD and Hermes where the latter is an Ebay preferred supplier) that could ship it back to me for €9,99  with track&trace and offered to pay €10,- shipping costs. I asked the buyer if he knew a cheaper option, but told him that I was willing to pay the 10  for DPD and Hermes if needed ( My return policy says buyer has to pay but I wanted to be cooperative and wanted to get the game back for inspection because customer was not open to remote assistance or partial refunds.)  Customer decided to sent it with another carrier with €17,99 of costs. I refused to pay everything and waited out the shipment. So no Hermes, no DPD and even not the DHL that was mentioned by customer. He went for Deutsche Post for €17,99 without even consulting me.

below the communication of the shipping options

The shipping bills with an outrageous €17,99 to sent a 20 grams game back. €10 or less was possible too but this was his choice.

I got the game back and inspected it, tested it with a screw ( that I could have sent to him) and made this video:

As you can see nothing is falling apart.

I gave it a rought test ;)

A well described item.

Maybe it did miss the screw. That could have happend. I could have sent a screw, no matter who lost it

I got a really nasty review but I kept my back straight and did not let myself be blackmailed or extorted.

The customer got his money back.
